It was not an easy game. The industry is fragmented, majorly dominated by unorganized players and considered highly expensive. But MyRide was sure of its success because it knew the key points to be put in place.

Client Requirement

A client wanted to enter in the market of cab/taxi service where the transportation services was a hazardous business in Ottawa, Toronto. Though client was pretty sure how he would have to deliver his taxi business in the land where this service somewhat new in the market and also full with competitors. By grasping things from the local people and their requirements, our client made sure how the service would be helpful to the people.

MyRide believed that the use of technology is abundant and by making use of existing online media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, they could offer their users with more convenient options to book a cab online.

Challenges

  • Developing the application and incorporating all the client requirements and its features was a really tough challenge.
  • Our software developers had to ensure the app had a user-friendly interface which could be used easily by customers and cab drivers.
  • The app also had to feature map integration for best route options, driver's information, taxi details, automatic fare calculation, and payment gateway integration.
  • Finally, the GPS integration within the app had to be robust enough for the customers as well as the cab drivers find each other whenever required.

Our Approach

For us, it was a really tough challenge to understand the ground reality of that particular town where we supposed to launch our cab service, MyRide. We were thrilled by this new opportunity to contribute to the Ottawa’s mobility and were committed to finding a custom solution.

Once our research related to finding the taxi network’s working and what were the exact problems faced by commuters was complete, our team got down to the real work of app development. Once we had the clear picture about the taxis and issues of customer, our job was to develop a mobile bridge between the two and provide an enhanced networking environment which will make both their lives easy.
